Testifire is the first functional fire detector tester that can introduce up to three stimuli from a single test unit (independently, sequentially or simultaneously).
Generated on demand by the evaporation and re-condensation of specially formulated fluid contained in a replaceable capsule Testifire's non-flammable, non-toxic and non-pressurised smoke stimulus is unique. Responding to environmental challenges and eliminating pressurised canisters of gas the product does not contain global warming agents or VOCs. With a carefully controlled particle size and smoke profile the stimulus is suitable for a wide variety of detection technologies while the method of stimuli production and delivery eliminates possibilities of detector damage caused by misuse.
Testifire's heat is delivered by a focussed beam, initiated when a detector enters the Testifire cup breaking an IR beam. There are two heat settings, the first suitable for rate of rise and fixed temperature sensors up to 90°C (194°F) and the other for testing higher temperature sensors up to 100°C (212°F).
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
Delivered in a focussed stream and generated internally only as required from a benign activated carbon, Testifire's CO production has been tailored carefully for the activation of CO Fire detectors without harm to the CO sensor (which can be damaged by less controlled sources of CO)**. The activated carbon is supplied in capsule form and, while Testifire produces a genuine non flammable, pure CO stimulus none is stored or produced under pressure.

** Testifire is unlikely to be suitable for CO alarms used for the detection of toxic gases in life safety applications. These alarms typically require higher concentrations of CO for far longer periods than CO Fire detectors.
